As far as being comparable to traditional meat jerky, Real Tuff is excellent. I could have eaten the entire bag in one day. Beyond Meat jerky had been my favorite traditional replacement until now!

I’m happy to give this “small batch” recipe the highest possible rating. I bought five different types of jerky, and this one was easily the top winner. The flavor (mesquite barbecue) is great tasting. The recipe is different than the standard recipe which Louisville Jerky has been using. It’s definitely tougher/chewier. It gives a “mouthfeel” which is more satisfying. My roommate is a diehard carnivore. In spite of that gross fact, this jerky won his seal of approval! I would rank this Real Tuff Texas Jerky slightly behind the maple bacon flavor.

This might be my favorite of the small batch products yet. Would love to see more flavors in this space or for this to make it into their standard product line. Great texture and flavor.
