Real Good, fake jerky

A happy accident.
In 2012, founder Stanley Chase III forgot to set a timer on his vegan manapua recipe and overcooked the bbq soy protein by mistake. This resulted in the first batch of vegan jerky we all know and love.

Does Vegan Jerky from a southern state surprise you?
Time to take a closer look at Louisville, Kentucky. This little city is a big part of our jerky story. From our vibrant and progressive community to our vegan friendly restaurants, Louisville is a hidden gem. Since our founding in 2012, Louisville Vegan Jerky Co. has been an entirely independent and family-run business. We employ a kickass crew of Louisvillians who cook, pack, and ship our crave-able, cruelty-free jerky to folks all over the world. With flavors inspired by classic Southern food and bold, modern seasonings, our fake jerky is about as good-ands as real-as it gets.
We are a proud sponsor of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana
which enables a child facing adversity to have a life-changing mentoring friendship.
